i have finished a couple Jim, this way. It's not as easy to control thinning flakes when finishing, and I prefer to use straight punches on my lap or my holder, but for early core work this has some potential. If you try any more, let me know how it works. Thanks, marty

Very creative. So many ways to knap. Do you have any finished clovis using this technique? Any luck fluting with that technique? I imagine holding everything in place must be awkward at times. I struggle holding things in line even on the small stuff. I was experimenting with palm punching about a year ago but gave it up.
